The Law Commission of Ontario invites you to submit a project proposal at any time.
Proposal Guidelines:
To ensure that our work best serves you, we ask that you follow these guidelines:
- Must be about provincial law
- Must be consistent with at least one of the Law Commission of Ontario’s mandates to make recommendations to:
- Make the legal system more relevant, accessible and efficient
- Simplify or clarify the law
- Use technology to increase access to justice
- Can be about a focused legal issue or a broader social issue
- Must address an issue we’ve not yet received a proposal for (view a list of proposals we’ve already received here)
Please include the following information in your proposal:
- Description of proposed project
- Why you think this area of law needs to be changed
- Why the Law Commission of Ontario is the right body to take on this project
