Sarah Mason-Case joined the LCO as a contract research lawyer in February 2013. Sarah has worked in the area of law reform and policy development in various capacities at intergovernmental organizations, in private practice, with legal clinics and for the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General.

Joanna Birenbaum started in April 2013 as a part-time legal researcher at the LCO. She is currently engaged in a private consultancy practice, having been the Legal Director at the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF) for four years. Joanna will be organizing a symposium on integrated or multidisciplinary approaches to community safety.

Judy Mungovan began her secondment from the Ministry of the Attorney General on April 2, 2013, as the new counsel in residence.  Before joining the LCO, Judy was Counsel, Policy and Adjudicative Tribunals Division with MAG. Judy will be working on a new project on class actions. Judy replaces Norine Nathanson who completed her term as MAG LCO Counsel in Residence in March.
