The Law Commission of Ontario is pleased to announce that Amita Vulimiri will be joining the Commission as a research lawyer. Amita currently practices at the Community Legal Assistance Society in Vancouver, where she has litigated at all levels of court on issues involving equality. She is experienced with human rights and administrative law, and has also served on the boards of a number of organizations which focus on health and human rights. Amita will be joining the Commission on a one-year contract beginning October 2017.
