Today, the Law Commission of Ontario (LCO) is releasing a new report, Legal Issues and Government AI Development, summarizing the themes and insights from a series of workshops organized by the LCO and the Ontario Digital Service.
The report discusses the opportunities and challenges of government use of these systems, including human rights, bias, disclosure, due process and public participation. The report identifies eight major themes and insights that will assist governments and stakeholders to better understand this technology.
