The Law Commission of Ontario and Research Chair on Accountable Artificial Intelligence in a Global Context have come together to prepare a new report, Comparing European and Canadian AI Regulation, that compares two leading international approaches to AI regulation:  the Canada ADM Directive and the European Commission’s proposed AI Rules for the European Union.

The paper considers key AI regulation issues, including the definition of AI, risk assessment, bias, disclosure, oversight, and enforcement.

The report is available here.
